Why do I get a blank screen when using Adobe Acrobat formatted output in Internet Explorer 5.5? |
This is a known issue specific to certain versions of Internet Explorer (Netscape is not affected). Oftentimes before you get the blank screen, you will see the Adobe Acrobat startup screen flash by; this is just another symptom of this same problem. It can be resolved by changing a setting within Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Note: The next time you run a report object in Internet Explorer with Adobe Acrobat selected as the output format, a dialog box will prompt you to specify what to do with the file. If you select "Open this file from its current location," Internet Explorer opens the output in Acrobat Reader. If you select "Save this file to disk," Internet Explorer saves the output to your hard disk, from where you can open it later. |
